Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary

How do we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in this time of severe crisis which is expressed through the faces and different situations in so many places in the world?

The first thing that comes to mind is the concern and pain of so many mothers who cannot give their children, not only everything they would like but also, with greater frequency, what they need. In many cases the pain is trapped in the hearts of these mothers looking for gestures and words to help their sons and daughters to be able to live accompanied by a love that engenders hope.

From the anguished Heart of Mary, who saw and felt the pain of those who lived humiliated or had nothing to eat, came the "Magnificat" which, being born from a Heart full of God, is a song of hope.

To be an expression of that Heart, listening to the pain of those who today suffer the terrible effects of the crisis and trying to be, at the same time, generators of hope, is the only possible way of living "from a missionary perspective " the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary this year. Let us seek a concrete way of doing so.
