The God we believe in, the God we announce

Angel Ochagavia, cmf - Tue, May 21st 2013

We, the Claretian Missionaries are inviting you, and other members of your community, to a two day conference on “The Faith and Mission of those in Consecrated Life in the United Kingdom and Europe” to be held on the 21st and 22nd of May, in Hayes

At these exciting moments for our Church, with the faith and humility of our Pope Francis I, we are to share our hopes and also our fears; to reflect on the quality of our faith and to discern our role in the New Evangelization to which the God who chose us and His Church is calling us for the benefit of humanity.

Registration Form See Leaflet pdf

As you can see in the enclosed brochure, we will be helped in our reflection by several experienced speakers: Sr. Marianne O’Connor OSU, Katherine O’Flynn FCJ, Sr. Helen Costigane SHCJ, Mother Winsome, SBVM, José Cristo Rey  CMF , Ronald McAinsh CSsR, and Archbishop Antonio Mennini, who will preside the Eucharist one of the two days; there will be also others representing different congregations.

The Conference, in consultation with CoR of England and Wales, is being organised by the Claretian Missionaries, who maintain in several countries Institutes for Consecrated Life: like those in Rome, Madrid, Manila, Bangalore and new ones in Argentina and Nigeria.

Hayes, the place for the Conference, is very accessible from London Paddington Train Station, from central London. It is close to Heathrow Airport and its Central Bus Station for those who are from outside London.

If you need accommodation for one or two nights, especially if you do not have a community of your congregation in London, you can check online in nearby B&B, and hotels (there are plenty of them since Heathrow is so near).  If you want us to help find accommodation, you can let us know when you send your Registration Form.

We would like you to register as soon as possible, no later than the 25th of April. This will help us to prepare better and make the Conference a success. Sharing now as brothers and sisters our present  hopes and worries, our plans and ideas will help us to find out what could be God’s dream for the Consecrated Life in our country and continent at the present moment of our Church and the world.

On behalf of the Claretian Missionaries,

Fr. Angel Ochagavia, cmf
