Commentary on the Gospel of
Wherever Jesus is, so too is freedom, even for going beyond the Sabbath. Faithfulness without freedom is dependence. We are to follow spirit-filled impulses and go beyond the routines which reduce our lives to mere repetition.
I agree what you mean by Wherever Jesus is there is freedom. Knowledge of Jesus and deeper relationship with him keeps one good, free and loving and the disciple is able to follow Jesus more closely and freely. Today’s gospel speaks about law. Jesus is not asking his followers to go for bargaining the Law or justify their actions’ believe that Jesus means here, be good and live the full Law with freedom.beause you have freely agreed to fulfill them. Never justify your mistakes and cover them up too. Why do some violate the law or unable to keep it both in marriage and religious life their consecration and the final commitment and as a consequences receive penalty, separation, divorce, removal from faculties and punishment from the authority? They consider the law as a heavy burdon.infe » view comment
