Commentary on the Gospel of
At the heart of our Christian discipleship is a great assurance. When the Lord summons us to go to the whole world and perpetuate his good deeds, he did not send us on our own or to an impossible mission. He will be there walking with us especially in times when we have to face danger, persecution and betrayal. We ought to believes in the promise of Jesus that by embracing our mission, first, God makes a solemn promise to be with us, second that He will be true to His promise. We are assured of His abiding presence because God knows that we need Him in the most trying moments of our discipleship.
