When we sin we can repent but we can also remain in sin if we persist stubbornly in a certain pride and an attachment to our own judgements. This attitude prevents us from entering into the ways of God, even though to all appearances we live an upright life and proclaim our faith. Are we living in accordance with our vocation as a child of God?
