“I am the way” (to the Father) suggest that there is still a way to go. “I am in the Father and the Father is in me,” suggests that the journey is already completed. Yes, in Christ the journey is completed, but we have forever a way to go. Someone said that the longest journey in the world is the journey from the head to the heart. It is a longer journey still to go into the heart of Christ. We have a long way to go, but all the way to God (it has been said) is God. If we go into the heart of Christ, we will see everything related to the Father.
