While Jesus was giving missionary instructions to his disciples, he too was reminding to administer what really not theirs but God’s: Without cost you have received; without cost you have to give. He warned them to get rid of any distraction and concern: Do not bring anything.
The fruits of our labour are surely ours. We can take pride of them as ours. We can enjoy them as ours. But when we begin to see them as God’s too, it is easier to share them to others. Then they do not become to us source of distraction but rather freedom.
