Commentary on the Gospel of
Everybody was looking for signs to prove that Jesus was the messiah. In the early times signs were taken as evidences for truth not only in the religious fields but even in determining political decisions. To look for signs was so cultural that people made it a criterion even on trivial things. But the signs those people were looking were “celestial signs”; signs that are beyond human making.
It seems that we can’t do away with looking for signs; and God does not run out of signs for his presence in our life, in our journey. What we need is the ability read them and be alert to “God’s sayings” in the unfolding of our life.
