 Here is a classic case of challenge to our human logic by the divine wisdom: “Do you want us to go and pull them up? He replied, No…” Our logic dictates to pull the weeds up. That’s the way we knew to reach a good harvest. We are so caught up with traditional thinking that we do not spare time to discern. Jesus answer was: no… wait, allow those weeds and wheat to mature together.

Waiting and maturing, these are images of the kingdom. These are in no way passive words. Waiting is an active living of hope. Maturing is an active living of the excitement of the moment while nurturing the learnings from the past.
