Commentary on the Gospel of

Sid Ching, cmf

Today begins our novena in preparation for Christmas and we are presented with the family tree of Jesus in Matthew. When we think of our ancestors, we see that in the past we were all related to one another. It is only with the passing of time and the branching out of our common family tree that we lose track of our relatedness. But when we trace back our origins, we realize that all humans on earth could possibly come from one common origin. And we see that we are also part of the family tree of Jesus.
