Commentary on the Gospel of
After receiving the Word, Mary could not but go and tell her relative, Elizabeth, about it. Such was the power of the Word in her. Sadly, for many of us, the reception of the Word has not made us proclaimers of the message to our own families. We go to church and pray with other believers, but not at home with those closest to us. We share the Word of God with others, but we could not talk about God in our dining table. May the Word do empower us like Mary.
