Commentary on the Gospel of

Sid Ching, cmf

In the gospel of Luke, Mary sings the radicality of the new world inaugurated by God when she accepted to be the Mother. Without spiritualizing Mary’s words, we see that they can be understood as subversive, specially by those who cling to power and authority. But God does bring in a new world order based on justice and compassion, and he does this not abruptly, but steadily, minute by minute, as human history progressively moves forward.
