Commentary on the Gospel of
Tomorrow is another year. We have journeyed this year with the Word of God in our daily reading of the Gospel. Hopefully, as we reflect on the words of Jesus, the way we live may also reflect these very same words. May God’s Word not remain spoken and heard, but may it take flesh again, felt, touched and experienced, this time through us. Do not despair when the words you have been reading seem to have no effect on you—it takes time for the seeds to take root and sprout. Instead, remain open to God in the soil of your heart for it is God who makes the seeds grow and bear fruit. Happy New Year!
