If you only knew what makes for peace.
Today's Gospel brings a feeling of sadness and pain for Jesus, as he contemplates the city of Jerusalem; his cry demonstrates his human heart. He wishes peace on his countrymen. He is the prince of peace, but he was not recognized by his country. At all times the person of Jesus is a controversial subject, but we Christians need to realize the signs of the times as a favourable time of the Lord's presence. Let us ask him, who has the power to reveal everything to men, to remove the hidden veil that prevents men from recognising him as prince of peace.
