33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time (Cycle B ) - "Jesus summons us to a call to hope".

Today the Gospel of Mark invites us to awaken to hope and trust in God, living the present with joy and intensity.. Living joyfully and with great intensity the present, that is to say, what is happening to me, trying not to see the sadness, the pain, the misfortunes, the deaths, the...

The liturgical year is coming to an end and the biblical readings have spoken to us about the end of the world, which makes us wonder about the mystery of life and its transcendent meaning. For us Christians, faith answers the questions of our life. It is not a meaningless existence; we are part of the world. We are endowed with freedom and spirituality.   We are aware of ourselves and of the responsibility for our actions. So that we can lead a joyful life, but also a bitter one, and what a sad bitterness it is when mutual trust is broken!

Jesus told us in the Gospel that no one knows when the Son of Man will come. "Neither the day nor the hour, only the Father". (Mark 13,32) The most important thing is not to know when and how these things will happen in the end, but to be prepared so that when they happen, the Lord will find us worthy to be admitted into his Kingdom. That is why it is in our interest to live according to the doctrine and life of Jesus.  Let us try to be his friends during our lifetime, so that we can rejoice at his second coming, when he will return to judge the living and the dead.

Lord: Do not let us cling to the things of this world, so that we may be able to recognise you every day.

(Psalm 15) Protect me my God, for I take refuge in you.

       "HAPPY SUNDAY TO ALL".
