Born at Avila in Spain in the year 1515. She joined the Carmelite order and she made great progress in the way of perfection and enjoyed mystic revelations. She undertook the reform of the order and in this she had to endure great trails, but overcame them all by her indomitable spirit.

 This coming Saturday, July 16th, the Claretian Missionaries celebrate the 162nd anniversary of their Foundation. St. Anthony M. Claret gathered in Vic (Catalonia, Spain) five young priests filled with missionary zeal. The missionaries are now in 65 countires, willing to bring the Gospel to everyone.
