The future of religious life in Europe is intimately connected with the future of the faith. This is one of the major preoccupations of the Church at this moment. There are three circumstances that do not make the vocational experience for religious life in Europe easy: cultural secularisation, religious chaos and the distrust of institutions.
Krasnoyarsk, Siberia. From the 17 – 23rd of October 2011, the Catholic Parish of The Transfiguration of the Lord in Krasnoyarsk (Siberia, Russian Federation) celebrate its 100 years as a church. The parish is currently entrusted to the Claretian Missionaries.

This coming Saturday, July 16th, the Claretian Missionaries celebrate the 162nd anniversary of their Foundation. St. Anthony M. Claret gathered in Vic (Catalonia, Spain) five young priests filled with missionary zeal. The missionaries are now in 65 countires, willing to bring the Gospel to everyone.

St. Anthony Mary Claret was born in Catalonia, the northeastern corner of Spain, in a town called Sallent on December 23, 1807. On July 16, 1849, he gathered a group of priests who shared his dream. This is the beginning of the Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, today also known as Claretian Missionaries.
