Commentary on the Gospel of
The first reading tells us to find ways to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters. We should not close our hearts to those in need, but let our love be real and active. Jesus promised Nathanael a few surprises, for the Spirit’s power at work in us is able to do far more than we ask for or ever imagine. There are always surprises and graces waiting for us as we commit ourselves to a journey of faith, prayer, and service.
