Commentary on the Gospel of
We live in the modern world and most people like to explain things with scientific terms and explanations. There are even people who try to question faith in terms of their own reasoning. There are others who like to get a miracle or a sign so that they can come to believe in Jesus. This was a problem even in the time of Jesus. So Jesus tells us today, no more signs will be given to us except the sign of Prophet Jonah. He proclaimed the Word of God and the Ninevites repented. So also Jesus invites us to repent and return to him. According to the Gospel of Mark the first words of Jesus is “…the Kingdom of God is at hand, repent and believe in the Good News”. Let us turn back to him with all our heart.
