Commentary on the Gospel of

Fr. George Vayaliparampil, cmf

The first Christians had to undergo many persecutions for the sake of Jesus and believing in him. The same is continuing even today in different parts of the world. We are aware of the places where one cannot use or say anything related to Jesus or Christian faith in public, where one needs permission from the political / police authorities to sing the carol songs or where the Church is directly under the control of the government without freedom. Jesus knew what is waiting for us and he has promised us the Helper (Jn 14:16) who will teach us everything that we need to say at that time of our persecution (LK 12:12) against our faith. So let us pray for the ones who are persecuted for their faith and those planning to leave our faith may find a new meaning and come closer to God.
