Commentary on the Gospel of

Fr. George Vayaliparampil, cmf

To live life in solitude apart from the worldly things are comparatively easy as there must be less temptations and possibilities for struggles. But what Jesus wants us to do is to be active in the world as yeast. Our spiritual exercise and our life should add taste and give light to the world in which we are living. There may be wind around us to put off our light, there may be water around us to dilute our saltiness, but we are not to give up our light or saltiness. We are called to be like yeast spreading its qualities to others so that we become more useful and produce better fruits and shelter to the ones looking for the true light and true God.
