Commentary on the Gospel of
The Gospel of Luke talks of the fight between good and evil, but this conflict isn’t a battle that takes place in a specific place or field, rather our life is the battlefield and the Gospels’ values are our weapons. The world needs our voices and actions that show the loving presence of God in the life of poorer people, the ill and those discriminated against through indifference and feelings of exclusion.
Christians are lights in the darkness, and the reading of the prophet Joel reminds us that the Christian part of life is the prophetic vocation, the announcement of the light in the word of the Lord and the denounced to the darkness.
