Commentary on the Gospel of
A mother is the model of total self-giving. Upon conception, her body changes, and after nurturing her child in her body for nine months, she imparts life as she gives birth to her baby. Then, her whole life changes. God is also a Mother who gives all to his (her) children. It is not enough that he gave us life and the whole universe to behold for he even gave us his only Son, Jesus, that we may share in his life.
