Commentary on the Gospel of

Fr. Alex Gobrin, cmf

Definitely Jesus has a different way of doing things. He went against the expectations of what a messiah should be. The expectations of his time demanded that the messiah should fit to some models like war hero, or a priestly type of Aaron, or a law giver type like Moses… These images of a messiah necessarily demanded the he should do wonderful, marvelous and spectacular deeds; he should be in the “wide screens” of his time. No. Jesus opted to work a different way: in small things, in small groups, in unfavorable places, of values deeply essential to life.
